Družinske obveznosti so me zadržale doma, zato je pa Guillaume odlično opravil pregled dogajanja na Ljubljanskem vinskem festivalu.
Na zmagovalnih stopničkah uradnega ocenjevanja so stala sledeča vina:
BELA VINA
- 1. mesto: PTUJSKA KLET D.O.O., Traminec, 2005
- 2. mesto: BRIČ, Sladki Muškat, 2004
- 3. mesto: PIRO – JAKONČIČ MARJAN, Chardonnay, 2005
RDEČA VINA
- 1. mesto: EMERAN REYA, Cabrenet Franc, 2005
- 2. mesto: BRIČ, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2002
- 3. mesto: RONK STOJKO KRISTANČIČ, Merlot, 2003
Medijskega Bakhosa za najbolj všečno vino po mnenju novinarjev je prejelo vino Dveri-Pax, Chardonnay – Šipon, suhi jagodni izbor. Medijskega Bahkosa za vzhajajočo vinsko zvezdo je prejel mladi briški vinar Oton Reya iz Kozane, Medijski Bakhos za posebne dosežke je ravno tako odšel v Goriška Brda, v Medano Marjanu Simčiču.

Here is the report of the wine festival in Slon …
on our side, it start at 3.00 pm and last until 7.00 pm. Our team was made of slavica (lady first), eric (alias chez), gorazd (from cubo) and I (from the best restaurant in town.)
With an average of 3 glass per stand for at least 20 stands, it means 60 differents wines in 4 hours. So I’m drunk, but forget about statistic and let’s go to concrete stuff
From this 60 wines, which wine would top the others.. difficult to say, tough job.. I would rank first Simčič Pinot noir … so beautiful, so strong for a modri pinot.. surprising when you know modri pinot from burgundy..
Then a silver medal goes to a Sauvignon kristlavin and Rebula movia.. You might say .. movia – simčič .. what’s f….. new ? well I would say that they are still quite ahead from other wine makers..
Surprise came from Guerilla, more famous for its marketing until today but with a beautiful white blend (local sort: pinela, rebula, malvazija) three years in barrique, other surprise were Rozac’s Stari d’or white and Rozac Malvazija (a wineyard near koper which I never heard before but with a great girl, my goodness I don’t mind you don’t know anything about wine, you’re
great !). Sutor merlot offered by a M. Lavrenčič, less ‘hot’ than the previous quoted, was a great wine.
Aleš Kristanič (kristalvin) surprise us with a Tokaj 1978 (I was 1 year old when they harvest the grape!). Start a debate on Tokaj / Točaj … Well, It is over about točaj.. Too close from tokaj, the hungarian complains again, and it should change. The new name has been choosen by the minister.. It gonna be Sauvignonasse, the botanic name …
The problem is that in French, the use of the suffix ‘asse’ is use to reduce the name’s root.. in other words Sauvignonasse would be a considered a poor sauvignon. Ok, only french would probably notice, but on this wine market, impact of french is still important even if in fall.. vinasse is commonly use for a wine (vin) of poor quality.. ..
Why Slovenian authorities took that decision, without wandering about name impact on a global market.. After STO’ new logo representing slovene Triglav for slovene, but fire for the 5 billions other potentials customers, another case of navelism..
Interesting as well how important slovene winemakers came back to the festival.. it was quite full in the late afternoon… few interesting meetings..

I woke up this morning and I remember that Up 2000, from Šèurek was great too (it’s close to a Saint Emilion wines), Tilen Sterlep imports some good portuguese wine, and I saw as well on his list a South African Thelema, When there in 1997, I bought a Cabernet Sauvignon, which I opened with my father only 1 year ago .. awesome ! )

You should have tried Modri Pinot from Tilia as well. (2004 and 2003)
And a sweet surprise from Lepa Vida (Ipavec) – malvazija 2005, that was dried from september to february (simmilar to Simcic’s Leonardo).
How could you even miss these wines? They were located just between Sutor and Guerilla?

Zelo sem vesel za Miha Reya … Zgubil je svoj oče (Emeran) letosni polet.. ta priznanje je cool, upam da bo drzil hiša in našel motivacijo.. Pa Cabernet Franc je bil eden med prvi slovenskih vin ki me so všeč.. in smo takoj dal na karti restavracije..
Ima tudi lep cabernet sauvignon in tudi za dober cenovni razred (med 1,000.- 1,300. sem izdi)
Tilia, sem videl njego rumeno-zelen etikete.. pa res, sram da ni sem šel pokusit.. smo več skakali od stojnice do stojnice..
Pa, sorry Rojac je, ni Rozac kot sem napisel.. V glavnem vse so bil zelo kakovostno vino. Tudi Up 2000 iz ščurka, .. zal sem razočaran z Puro Movia
Puro Movia je tudi mene razočaral.
Velika zgodba. Veliki pok. Sama penina pa ni ravno ne vem kaj. Lahko rečem… nič posebnega.
LP, Grozni
hvala za infote. jaz sem ga zamudil, ker smo cel vikend delali.
Mene je festival najprej navdušil s število. 344 vin, to je lep dosežek.
Probal sem sicer samo okoli 50 vin, vendar mi ni bilo žal.
Kocjančič Zanut Jama – “Tokaj” maceriran, zlate barve z jantarnimi odtenki. Odlične aromatika, ki na pookusu ne razočara.
Vinoteka Gr – Castello Banfi Brunello di Montlcino Poggio alle Mura – opisati se da samo z1 besedo BOŽANSKI!
Tilia Modri Pinot – rubinaste barve, z odličnimi aromatikami, po besedah vinarja 20%sušenega grozdja.
Malvazija Posestvo kojančič Truške – Za novega vinarja presenetljivo uglajena Malvazija, z odlično aromatiko, morda malce manjka na pookusu.
Terlep – Odličen je bil njihov Vieiles vignes rouge. Francoskih vin sicer še ne poznam tako dobro, vendar me je njegova struktura presenetila.
Tiliin modri pinot je in ni iz sušenega grozdja. Vsekakor ni iz ‘tipično’ sušenega grozdja, kot so narejena na primer passito-style vina (Leonardo, Valentino), pri katerih se grozdje POTRŽE in nato suši. Temveč ima Matjaž pri tem drugo ‘politiko’. In sicer določen del vinograda, ki skupaj predstavlja cca 20% modrega pinota, tekom vegetacije tako ‘uredi’ da ima po trti samo 0,5 kg in da je grozdje izpostavljeno soncu (defoliacija). Na ta način so ti grozdi, čeprav se jih trže isti dan kot preostalo grozdje modrega pinota, kjer ima obremenitev okoli 1,5kg, bolj dozoreli in tudi izsušeni kot preostali del in zaradi tega dajejo vinu telo. Vsaj tko sem ga jst razumel, ko mi je to razlagal.
LP, Grozni
Vidim da sem veliko zamudil. Kup meni novih imen vrednih pozornosti. Bo treba obiskat tele pridelovalce.
moj beli winner je nedvomno admund od dveri pax, hud, hud, hud! … pa merlot otona reye … sem pa skoraj – ker je bil čistov kotu – skoraj spregledal čurinov ledeni šipon 04 … za 03 je dobil decanterjevo reginoalno zmago pred vsemi tokaji … 04 pa tudi ni od muh … pa še nekaj sem opazil: najmanjše doze sta v kozarce dajala marjan simčič in movia (uni puro ni ne vem kaj, tokaj pa takisto ne – za moj okus predimenzioniran, preveč vsega; podobno kot rojacova malvazija (je pa res, da je stari d’or super fajn)), najbolj radodarna pa je bila klet brda … živele zadruge!
ja pa porka duš no, a hodiš pokušat al žret ??
Jaz ga itak pljunem ven-kar mi ostane v kozarcu pa zlijem proč.
