Here is the report of the wine festival and the Elephant ...
on our side, it start at 3:00 pm and last until 7:00 pm. Our team was made of slavica (first lady), eric (aka chez), Gorazd (from CUBO) and I (from the best restaurant in town.)
With an average of 3 per glass stand for at least 20 stands, it means 60 differents wines and 4 hours. So I'm drunk, but forget about statistic and let's go to concrete stuff
From these 60 wines, wine Which would top the others .. difficult to say, tough job .. I would rank first Simčič Pinot noir ... are beautiful, are strong for a Pinot Noir .. surprising when you know Pinot Noir from Burgundy ..
Then a silver medal goes to a Sauvignon kristlavin and Rebula Movia .. You might say .. Movie - Simčič .. what's f ... .. new? well I would say that they are still quite ahead from other wine makers ..
Surprise came from Guerilla, more famous for its marketing until today but with a beautiful white blend (local varieties: Pinela, rebula, Malvasia) three years in barrique, were other surprise Rozac's Old d'or white and Rozac Malvasia (a wineyard near Koper Which I never heard before but with a great girl, my Goodness I do not mind you do not know anything about wine, you're
great!). Sutor Merlot offered by a M. Lavrenčič, less 'hot' than the previous quoted, was a great wine.
Aleš Kristanič (Kristalvin) surprise us with a Tokaj 1978 (I was 1 year old when they harvest the grape!). Start a debate on Tokaj / Točaj ... Well, It is over about bartender .. Too close from Tokaj, the Hungarian complains again, and it should change. The new name has been choose by the Minister .. It gonna be Sauvignonasse, the Botanic name ...

I Woke up this morning and I remember that Up 2000, from Šèurek was great too (it's close to a Saint Émilion wines), Tilen Sterlep imports some good portuguese wine, and I saw as well on his Journal of a South African Thelema, When there and 1997, I bought a Cabernet Sauvignon, Which I opened with my father only 1 year ago .. awesome! )
How are other festival experience?






You should have tried Pinot Noir from Tilia as well. (2004 and 2003)
And a sweet surprise from Lepa Vida (Ipavec) - Malvasia 2005, that was dried from September to February (Tues simmilar Simcic's Leonardo).
How could you even miss these wines? They were located just between Sutor and Guerilla?

I am very pleased to Miha Rey ... my father is lost (Emeran) letosni flight .. This recognition is cool, hope drzil house and found the motivation .. However, Cabernet Franc, one of the first Slovenian wines that appeal to me .. and we immediately put on the map restaurant ..
